If you do not know Lisa Jenkins, be prepared to meet an unbelievable woman. Lisa is the founder and Executive Director of Kingdom Builders. Talk about a woman using her womanly POWER to change the narrative when it comes to not only Domestic Violence but sexual assault and human trafficking as well. Lisa’s story is truly one of hardship, determination, strength, transformation and so much more!
Lisa is a survivor of Domestic Violence herself. When she finally decided to leave, she, unfortunately, was met with little help and a lot of barriers. Through her journey of leaving her situation, she decided to create an organization that brought together so many different aspects of what she felt was missing during the process of leaving her abuser. With her love and faith in God, she created Kingdom Builders Family Life Center. She took her personal experiences of being a victim and created an organization to help future victims become survivors like herself.
Hopefully, you will continue on this journey with us as we create and share more blogs. Lisa still has so many goals for this organization and they have so much to give to the community. The hope is that through this blog, more of Lisa’s story, work in the community and her amazing team of staff, volunteers, and board members will share more knowledge and stories with all of you. With the support of her amazing family, many of which are a part of the organization in some capacity, KBFLC will change the narrative when it comes to Domestic Violence.
