Family & community support
Year-round outreach, family education, support groups and training for youth, caregivers and community members.
KBFLC provides outreach throughout the year for youth, families and community members. When funding allows, the organization may also provide case-by-case emergency financial assistance in urgent situations.
Family support programming provides parents and caregivers with tools to navigate challenges through workshops, education and support groups.
Topics include Active Parenting of Teens, Families in Action, step-family parenting and other practical family-support education.
Training includes conflict, domestic violence and sexual abuse prevention, healthy relationships and adverse childhood experiences.
Topics include anger management, financial education, coping skills, personal safety and setting boundaries.
Groups for adults and children can focus on safety, healing, relationships, boundaries and coping.
KBFLC provides topical trainings and workshops when scheduling and resources allow.
